Vegetable chapatti




Vegetable chapatti

Ingredients (makes 7)
-3 cups, all-purpose flour, sifted
-1 teaspoon, salt
-1 tablespoon, finely grated onion
-1 teaspoon, finely grated carrot
-2 cups, warm water
-½ cup, cooking oil
-½ teaspoon, sugar

Directions
1. In a large bowl, put 2 cups of sifted flour, mix with sugar, salt, onion and carrot
2. Add water and ¼ cup, cooking oil, mix well to form soft dough
3. Knead for 5-10 minutes, cover and set aside for 15 minutes
4. Knead another 5 minutes on a floured surface, shape into 7 balls and roll out into 6 inch diameter 18 inch thin chapatti
5. Place a frying pan medium heat, place chapatti onto it and let cook for 2 minutes, turn and coat with a little oil, cook downside and turn again, until all sides have charcoal spots. 
6. Set cooked chapatti aside on foil/kitchen towels to keep warm and soft. Serve as desired
